There's only 25 days left of my summer. Which indeed was a long one this year. Three months exactly, we got another two weeks extra. I haven't been on here in a while because I've been quite busy actually, surprisingly. Yet I feel like this summer was a waste. I haven't done anything very exciting. Only two things really stand out. And that's the two times I got to go to Warped Tour. All of June though was spent in Missouri looking for a house. We did succeed in finding one but luckily we found out a few days ago they rejeceted our offer. It was a nice road trip considering the details on why we were there. But it was just quite boring. Staying in a different hotel room almost every night. Not really having the chance to go check out the tourist attractions. We did stay in this neat little town for a few nights though, it was like a mini vegas minus the big fancy resorts and casinos. They did have some nice resorts, they were just southernized. It was really pretty at night. All the lights and everything. I didnt take any pictures though because I was kind of scared to go out there alone I admit. Mainly cause the hotel we were staying at some guy wouldnt stop staring at me everytime I came out. But thats the only exciting thing that happened on the roadtrip.
Then we had to come back early because my grandma was hospitalized and they said she was going to die within 24 hours. They lied though. Shes better now and she's coming home next week. Then last week I went down to Jacksonville for my birthday. A friend of mine, Catherine, came with us. Instead of having a huge sweet 16 party I decided to just go to Warped Tour since it was relatively close. The venue it was at was absolutely horrible though. There was no shade or grass for that matter. The ground was all dirt and it was at least 100 degrees that day. So you can imagine how bad it was. I felt sick most of the day so that was a downside. But I did get to see a few of my favorite bands play. Including my absolute favorite, All Time Low. Their set was my favorite. I actually got the drumstick afterwards. Dived for that thing. Got a handful of dirt too. But it was worth it. Then later they had a signing so I made sure to get them all to sign it. We ended up leaving early though because I just felt dead. But almost everyone else was leaving. Then we came back the next day. I was horribly sunburned on my shoulders. About 3 days later I went to the Warped Tour here in Charlotte. That was absolutely amazing. Except that was also the day my sunburn finally decided to blister. I got killed in the Cute Is What We Aim For mosh pit. Kicked in the face multiple times by crowdsurfers. Completely knocked over but luckily the guy behind me caught me and pulled me up. Then I met All Time Low again at their signing there. After I got to see all the bands I missed plus some. It worked out wonderfully. I did miss a few bands I was looking forward to seeing though; Escape the Fate, The Almost, and Boys Like Girls. Throughout the day at the Charlotte Warped Tour I kept running into the guitarist for All Time Low, Jack. He was really nice and he's my favorite but shh.
And thats pretty much all the exciting things Ive done this summer. I went to buy the new HP book at midnight except I didnt, I left an hour before midnight to go see Hairspray. I never did buy it. But I dont want to anymore. I know everything that happens anyways.
But just this summer feels like its being wasted away. Im hoping to go down to Florida at some point in August before school starts because I haven't been there in almost two years. Well to my hometown at least.
